Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai has more than 35 years of experience working and researching at leading enterprises in the country. Currently, Ms. Tuyet Mai is Vice General Secretary of Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS), Head of VITAS Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City. Previously, she was the Vice President of Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union.
Ms. Mai has participated in many training courses to improve teaching capacity such as participating in the development of the Textile and Garment Group's Labor Agreement (FES Institute's project) and training in many topics (Union Professionalism, Labor Law, Trade Union Law, Negotiation & Dialogue skills, etc.) for Trade Union Officers at enterprises.
In 2014, she worked at the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association and participated in ToT classes organized by VCCI, TFA, SMEDEC2 from seminar projects such as "Starting a business" - VCCI and SIYB Club, "Negotiation in Labor Relations" - VCCI and LDGC Netherlands; “Disaster Risk Management for Small and Medium Enterprises” (with USAID & TFA support).
Currently, Ms. Mai often researches and reports on Vietnam's General Textile and Garment Industry, Textile and Garment Industry in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC); Free Trade Agreements: TPP, EV-FTA and other FTAs; Labor - Trade policies related to the textile and garment industry, etc. for students with specialized training in textiles and garments.
